bonjour ~

Welcome to the twenties world! I was once told that the twenties are the best years to make an account of precious memories of life, dreams and love–doing so in the most vibrant manner possible.

My Beauty Diary Masks Review #1 : Japanese Cherry Blossom Mask
written on Saturday, February 5, 2011 @ 7:56 AM ✈

I’ve been using these My Beauty Diary 我的美麗日記 sheet masks for the first ever time so its time to share my thoughts on them :)

Overall view
The packaging is cute as you can see in the picture below.

The masks are a very good fit on my face. The only bit that might be too big are the eye holes which are HUGE. And the shape around the mouth area, the spot between the nose and lips is slightly too big for my face (but it doesn't cause much of a problem).

There is a plastic sheet folded into the sheet mask which I find it odd and waste of resources. And the plastic has all the serums there, what a waste :(

The sheet mask was very wet but not dripping which is good. When I had the mask on my face, it did not dribble all over. The serum left inside the packaging is quite alot though, but i didn't make use of it. Whatever essence there is on the mask takes a very long time to dry too – I had the mask on my face for more than 20 minutes (more than what the instructions have directed).

Japanese Cherry Blossom mask (luxury version)
Three main purposes: Brightening, Soothing, Regenerating.
Good for all skin types, especially dull and tired skin.
Ingredients (as listed on their website):
Purified Water, 1,3-Butylene Glycol, Glycerine,Propylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lecithin, Triethanolamine, Styrene Acrylates Copolymer, Dimenthylsilanol Hyaluronate, Methyl Paraben, Citirc Acid, Polysorbate 20, Prunus Yedoensis Flower Extract, Morus Nigra Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Amica Montaca Flower Extract, Kiwi(Actinidia Chinensis) Extract, Saccharum(Sugar Maple) Extract, Citrus Anrantium Dulcius(orange) Fruit Extract Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Polyglutamic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Hydroxidem, Fragrance

This was the first My Beauty Diary mask I tried and I was not quite sure what I was expecting. A friend of mine ask me to pick 1 flavor outta so many that he (yes, a HE) had bought and the Japanese Cherry Blossom mask attracted me (because of the packaging and i imagine having cherry blossoms all over my face LOL).

Detailed review
After unpacking, I actually tried to smell it. It has a mild floral sweet smell. Like some sorta jasmine smell idk how to explain >_<

Right after use, my skin feels moisturized but mostly just very soothed, cooling. There is tightening effect. I don't notice too much of a brightening effect but it brings radiance into your skin. I patted the excess essence on my face and suprisingly it is not sticky AT ALL compared to those Vita D masks from The Face Shop that i used to have. I likeyy ;D after patting, the essence absorbs immediateky into my skin.
I did not put much hope on this mask cause my face shop masks immediate effects wear off very fast but then surprisingly it stays till the next morning! My face still feel soft and dewy!
